Showers
Showers are among the most demanding areas for the application of microcement coatings. Although the system is relatively simple, it is essential to follow the recommended procedure. The carefulness of the applicator always matters. The most complex task in implementing coatings in showers is the actual commissioning of the shower. After successful commissioning, it is already a reliable surface that does not require any further regular treatments.
Impregnation of the coatings is essential for proper functioning in showers. The method of application of sealer significantly affects the entire functioning of the shower. Therefore, the application of sealer should always be accompanied by a light test load.
Recommended impregnation procedure in showers:

Application of light shades and white coating
When applying white and light shades, it is important to use special trowels that do not "burn" the coating. Parfait Liss or Ecobeton trowels can also be used. As far as techniques are concerned, the smoothing technique is not a very suitable one for working with light shades. Application of dark shades of coatings
The application of dark shades brings with it certain specifics as well. The biggest problems usually occur when sanding. If the sanding does not occur evenly, there may be more ground spots in a lighter shade after impregnation. This effect can be utilized, for example, in textured coatings, but an application error may occur with smoother surfaces. Typically, there is a problem, for instance, on the edges of stairs, so it is essential not to leave too much material on the edges with a vision of subsequent sanding. Sanding should always be carried out evenly in a circular motion. Another problem may arise if an unsealed coating is sprinkled. If the water from the coating is not removed in a short time sequence, there is a risk of forming a contour that is unremovable. This problem may occur with all coating shades, but it is a more prominent problem with darker shades.
Combination of sealers
Ecobeton has two types of two-component sealers. Gi.Gi. Sealer and Cerbero Sealer. Every sealer has specific properties. Cerbero Sealer fills the surface structure better, Gi.Gi. Sealer is harder and more chemically resistant. Both sealers can be combined. The optimal composition is 1x Cerbero WP, 1x Cerbero Base, 1x Gi.Gi. Sealer with ratio 1:2:3, 1x Cerbero Sealer. With this application, you can take advantage of the benefits of individual products to create even better protection.
Swimming pools
We recommend using Poseidone overlay for pools. It is a natural materials intended for use in swimming pools. Surface seamlessness is a design and hygiene solution. Thanks to the final impregnation by a Gi.Gi. Sealer, the pools are easy to maintain and harmless for their users.
It is a design and exclusive solution. The light shades of the pool coating make the blue-green colour of the water stand out.
Here it is necessary to note that the overall approach to applying the coating in pools is such that it is not possible to use the impregnation by the Gi.Gi. Sealer in a permanently wet environment to create a 100% impregnation. After some time, the water is sifted through the impregnation into the top layer of the coating. However, this is not an imperfection. The coatings themselves can operate in the pool without impregnation. In this case, the impregnation protection has only a function as a treatment facilitating cleaning. It is crucial to maintain diffusely open properties of the final varnish to maintain its long-term function.
